The process of the cold spinning head

Cold spinning of the head is a feasible and reasonable new process for manufacturing the head. In order to ensure the quality of the cold spinning head, every process of pressing the head must be strictly controlled.

  Preparation before spinning

Check whether the blank material, marking and blank specifications are consistent with the "process flow inspection card".

The blank welds and edges need to be strictly polished to be flush with the base material.

Proper selection of molds in accordance with process regulations must not be used incorrectly. The flanging machine should adjust the trajectory curve of the pressure wheel to be consistent with the corresponding forming wheel.

It is necessary to test the machine for a few minutes before spinning to confirm that the machinery, cold pressing system and electrical system are intact to prepare for spinning.

  Drum

The drum pressing force should be as small as possible for a material of a given thickness to avoid thinning of the blank and cracks. It is recommended to control the drum pressure within 5-15Mpa, the maximum cannot exceed 20Mpa.

The drum must be deep, not too shallow, neither too deep. In addition, we must pay attention to the smoothness of the surface, and finally use the model to strictly accept.

  Flanging

Control the arc starting point and the amount of flanging, so that you can control well the flanging.

The flanging is flexible according to the proficiency, do not rush to achieve, and don’t take too long time to operate.

Cracks occur on the edge of the head during the flanging process and should be shut down for repair. If you continue to flange the head, it will produce a wrong edge.

Strictly measure the outer circumference and control the range of positive and negative deviations.

  Heat treatment

In addition to stainless steel, cold-formed heads should be heat-treated after forming. Generally, 20g and 16MnR materials are subjected to intermediate annealing after pressing the drum. If the user has special requirements, relevant heat treatment should also be carried out.

The annealing temperature is recommended to be 620-650℃, holding for 1-2 hours. After the furnace is cooled to 300-400℃, it is air-cooled, and direct air-cooling is not allowed.

  Test

According to the relevant technical standards, the geometric dimensions, shape deviation, thickness reduction and other items of the forming head are inspected.
